Project Name & Location: Dutchess County Highway Facility Route 44, Poughkeepsie, NY

Project Description: Tear down and rebuilding of new three story DC engineering and highway building located at the bottom of Brickyard Hill on Route 44. Building is heated and cooled using geothermal technology and ground source heat pumps. Building is modern/functional in design and has a parking structure on the lower level. The buildings use a large decorative spandrel glass windows that extend 2 stories around 3 sides of the building allow occupants to utilize natural light. A 3 story glass and stainless steel cable stair rail are the main feature of the lobby. Despite schedule setbacks due to unforeseen asbestos and unsuitable fill, MCC completed project on schedule.
