Meyer Contracting Corporation has been serving businesses and families in the Mid-Hudson Valley for over twenty years. Founded in 1986, the company was first known as Meyers Builders of Pleasant Valley, New York. The company quickly gained a reputation for reliability and quality work as well as for its dedication to service. After its early success, the company changed its name to Meyer Contracting Corporation in 1994. Today, Meyer is an open shop general contractor, that provides both prevailing wage and private work. The company employs over 40 people, including a highly-skilled, field crew of dedicated craftsmen: operators, carpenters, laborers and masons. With an anticipated volume of twenty million dollars for 2007, Meyer believes that its success hinges largely on its unique ability to bring projects in on time and within budget. As the company looks to the future, it continues to focus on its short-term goals: to provide its customers with a positive construction experience and to continue to invest in customer relations and long range marketing. Meyer Contracting believes that clients will not only be pleased with its building and design capability but with the creative and motivated people who make up its diverse team. With a strong management system, financial strength, access to innovative technology and a proven ability to meet aggressive project schedules, Meyer Contracting has all of the elements that make for a successful construction project, regardless of its size or scope. Safety
At Meyer Contracting, ensuring the safety of our customers and our employees is our top priority. That's why we are continually dedicated to meeting the highest safety standards of the construction industry. All field and supervisory personnel are periodically trained in safety standards, and a specialized training of key safety personnel is also conducted. Meyer has put into place a progressive safety reward and disciplinary system for all company employees. There are daily inspections for all employees, tools, equipment and job sites, and we conduct weekly "tool box talks" to further reinforce all safety standards. All of our management and field employees are OSHA certified and excavation trained. We also conduct drug testing as part of the employment application process and random drug testing of our current employees.
Meyer Contracting is proud to have received the Associated Builders and Contractors Compensation Trust Safety Award for the past three consecutive years.
